What we did instead
Every Cambridge past-paper question is a tagged, addressable unit.

Are these the real Cambridge papers?
Yes. Every question is a crop of the original PDF — never retyped, never paraphrased, never generated. The mark scheme is Cambridge's own, linked by reference ID.
Is it actually free, or free until it isn't?
Reading is free permanently — every paper, every mark scheme, every topical bank, no account. Payment only ever applies to downloading and unlimited practice. Nothing you can see today moves behind an account later.
Do I need an account?
Not to read, and not to practice 10 questions a day. An account lifts the limit and turns on explanations. That's the whole trade.
Who is behind it?
A small team, building in the open. Pastlit went live on 8 September 2026; every number on this page is a live count from the database, not a claim. There are no testimonials yet because we would rather quote real students than invent them — when there are words worth quoting, they go here.
What's the catch for teachers?
None. Building and sharing are unlimited and free; only printable downloads are metered. Teachers are free because a teacher who shares a paper brings a class with them — that is the business model, stated plainly.
